Matcha latte chaud ou froid

Hot or Iced Matcha Latte

Ingredients:

  • 1g of HANAE or MITSUKA matcha
  • 60 ml hot water (about 80°C)
  • 240 ml milk (or plant-based milk of your choice)
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons of sugar (optional) or syrup (like maple syrup, agave, or vanilla)
  • Ice cubes (for iced matcha latte)
  • A bit of milk foam (optional, for presentation)

Preparation of Hot Matcha Latte:

  1. Sift the matcha powder into a bowl to avoid lumps. Add hot water and whisk vigorously with a matcha whisk (chasen) or a regular whisk until you achieve a light foam and smooth consistency.
  2. Heat the milk over medium heat or use a milk frother to make it creamy. Using hot milk provides a velvety texture to your matcha latte.
  3. Pour the matcha mixture into a cup. Add the hot milk on top, holding back the foam to add at the end if desired.
  4. Add sugar or syrup to taste and stir gently. The sugar or syrup adds a gentle sweetness that complements the matcha flavor.
  5. Enjoy this hot version for a comforting and energizing drink.

Preparation of Iced Matcha Latte:

  1. Dissolve the matcha in 60 ml of hot water, whisking until you get a smooth foam.
  2. Fill a glass with ice cubes.
  3. Pour the cold milk (or plant-based milk of your choice) over the ice cubes.
  4. Then, pour the matcha over the milk, creating a beautiful visual effect that makes your iced matcha latte as pleasing to the eye as it is to drink.
  5. Add sugar or syrup according to your preference, mix well, and enjoy this refreshing drink! This iced matcha latte is perfect for a hot day or a cooling break.

Whether you prefer a hot or iced matcha latte, this recipe adapts perfectly to all your cravings and all seasons, ideal for matcha tea lovers looking for a delicious and energizing drink!
