About Mayumi

Who is behind Mayumi?

Mayumi was founded by Kenza and Lucie, two passionate Japanese tea lovers, with the desire to offer exceptional matcha carefully selected for quality. To learn more, visit our Our Story page. 

Where are we located?

Our headquarters are based in Paris, France. We operate mainly online and do not have a physical store at the moment.

Where does our matcha come from?

Our matcha comes exclusively from Japan, specifically from the Kyoto and Kagoshima regions, known for their exceptional tea quality and ancestral expertise.

Is our matcha organic?

Our matcha is grown in Japan using traditional farming methods, without pesticides or chemicals. All our products are certified organic by the Japan Agricultural Standards (JAS), ensuring sustainable and environmentally friendly farming practices. 

Although our matcha meets European organic standards, it is not yet certified in France. However, this does not affect our commitment to quality and purity. We work directly with passionate Japanese producers who uphold traditional expertise to bring you exceptional matcha, cultivated with respect for nature. 

Do your matcha products contain additives or sugar?

No, our matcha is 100% pure, with no additives, colorants, or added sugar.

What is the shelf life of your matcha?

Each matcha tin has a best before date (BBE). Once opened, we recommend consuming the matcha within three months to preserve its freshness. 

Pro tip: Store your matcha in the refrigerator to extend its freshness and maintain its delicate aroma.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept payments via credit card, PayPal, and Apple Pay. 

Where can I find my invoice?

Your invoice is automatically sent by email after your purchase. You can also find it in your customer account.

What are your delivery times?

France 

  • Standard delivery: 2 to 3 business days 

  • Pickup point delivery: 2 to 6 business days 

  • Express delivery: 1 to 2 business days 

International 
Shipping options and delivery times are calculated automatically at checkout based on the destination country and the available carrier. 

What are the shipping fees?

France: 

  • Standard delivery: €4.95 

  • Express delivery: €4.95 

  • Free delivery for orders over €48 

Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany: 

  • Standard delivery: €5.95 

  • Free delivery for orders over €60 

Other destinations: 
Shipping fees are calculated automatically at checkout. 

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes, free shipping is available for orders over €48 in metropolitan France and over €60 in Belgium, Luxembourg, and Germany. 

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship our products to metropolitan France as well as the following international destinations: 
Luxembourg, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Canada, United States, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Switzerland, and Poland. 

Shipping fees and delivery times vary depending on the destination and will be displayed at checkout. 

Returns & Refunds

Can I return a product?

Yes, you have 14 days from the date of receipt to return an unopened product. Return shipping costs are at your expense. 

How do I get a refund?

Once your return has been received and verified, we will process your refund within 15 days using the same payment method you used for the purchase. 

What if my product arrives damaged?

Contact us immediately with a photo of the product and packaging at contact@ma-yumi.com. We’ll find a solution together. 

Preparation & Usage

Can I use milk with matcha?

Yes! Matcha latte is a delicious alternative. We recommend using plant-based milk like oat or soy for a smooth texture. 

Can I cook with your matcha?

Yes, our UMIKA culinary matcha is specially designed for baking and cooking.
